SUMMARY:Creative Junk Journaling for Tea Lovers
DESCRIPTION:In this fun and creative two-day workshop\, participants will learn how to create a soft-cover tea-themed junk journal. A junk journal is a hand-made book that is created using recycled and found materials and ephemera. The pages can be used to write\, draw\, collage\, or record memories\, thoughts\, ideas and inspiration.  Tea lovers can use their journal to record teas tasted or tea rooms visited\, for example.  All materials and tools will be provided. \nSaturday June 3\, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. \nSunday June 4\, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. \nWhat participants should bring to class: \nA brown-bag lunch and any desired snacks and drinks. (A refrigerator and microwave are available on-site in the break room.) \nWhat will be provided: \n\nMaterials to create & embellish your journal cover.\nAn abundance of paper ephemera including book pages\, scrapbook paper\, maps\, grid paper\, lined paper\, envelopes\, and a variety of tea-themed images.\nAll necessary tools for cutting and binding the journal.\nAll necessary tapes and glues. The pages can be used to write\, draw\, paint\, or record memories\, thoughts\, ideas\, and inspiration. The finished junk journal can become anything you want. \nWhat YOU should bring to the class: \n\nA brown bag lunch and any desired snacks and drinks. A refrigerator and microwave are available on-site in the break room.\nOne hard-bound book. Check out used bookstores or thrift shops for inexpensive options. NOTE: Pages need to be sewn\, not glued into the book.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to work with the theme of their choice in creating their journal and are encouraged to bring paper ephemera and images that correspond to their chosen theme.
