DESCRIPTION:In this creative 3-hour workshop\, participants will learn how to turn an old hardback book into an artistic tea-themed altered book. An altered book is an artistic book/ journal/ scrapbook that is created in an old book. Participants will tear out pages\, glue pages\, create pockets\, create art and more in their altered book. We will use paper collage\, rubber stamps\, copies of tea-themed ephemera\, stencils\, and more as art materials. \nAll materials and tools are provided\, along with an abundance of ideas of where to find tea-themed materials for future creations. Workshop participants may want to save and bring: dried tea bag papers\, tea wrappers and tags\, tea-themed magazines and images….  All of this and more will be provided by Lynn.

DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a soothing afternoon of mandala art making. In this fun and meaningful two-hour gathering\, participants learn about mandalas and create their own personal mandala using a variety of art materials. Making a personal mandala is relaxing. Making a personal mandala with one’s own inner language and symbols can lead to personal discovery. Following the art making\, participants have time to journal (with prompts) and time for optional sharing. No previous artistic experience or knowledge of mandalas is required! \nSchedule: We begin this group with a guided meditation. The guided meditation is followed by art making. DESCRIPTION:In this fun and creative 3-hour workshop\, participants will create a tea-themed pocket shrine in a brand-new mint tin. A pocket shrine is a small container which honors a thought or theme. In this workshop we will be focusing on the theme of tea in all its serenity and long history. We will use a variety of materials to commemorate this universal beverage including tea pot and teacup charms\, tea pot paper punches\, images of the camellia sinensis plant\, printed tea quotes\, replicas of tea leaves\, and more! You will go home with a miniature piece of art that illustrates your love of tea. \nWhat participants should bring: A bag lunch and beverage.
