Meanderings of River Wisdom on the Labyrinth, a Veriditas Qualifying Workshop

May 11 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

$135.00

Flowing with the wisdom teachings of the River, this in-person retreat honors the sacredness of river waters and the synchronicities of life phases mirrored on the labyrinth. As we wander on the path of life, there’s a likeness to water in its tidal rhythm – releasing and rising, swirling and calming, healing and renewing, as well as purifying and destroying. In tandem with the Celtic imagination, this day celebrates the meandering path of river songs, poetry, expressive arts, and mandala making, rituals and symbology that embrace the constancy of ever-changing life cycles, culminating in a labyrinth walk.

What river songs flow in your heart? How are the images of river life phases manifested through the arts and embodied on the labyrinth quadrants? What gifts emerge from the river near you? How can the river reflect who we are and encourage river activism?

FACILITATORS:

Barrie Carter Gibby: A long-time educator, writer and avid traveler, Barrie interweaves her background in design, music, theater production, and ritual-making to facilitate labyrinth workshops across the nation on a variety of themes. Her many pilgrimages to the 13th c. As an Advanced Certified Facilitator and on faculty at Veriditas, Barrie finds sacred spaces everywhere.
